"Do you use different colors?"

Yes! That's one of my most frequently asked questions. Microblading pigments come in a large variety or colors. It is chosen during you appointment considering factors such as desired outcome, your eyebrow hair color, and skin color.

WHAT IS MICROBLADING?

Microblading is a semi-permanent form of tattooing. It is done with a swiping motion of a manual pen and set of very fine needles, implanting pigment under the epidermis of the skin to mimic realistic hair.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION?

Consultations are not required due to the information provided before and during the appointment.

However, a consultation can be booked per request.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The longevity of microblading varies per person. The pigment will fade gradually over time due to sunlight, topical skincare, and natural shedding of the skin. Touch ups are recommend once a year for maintenance but some pigment can last 2+ years.

DO I STILL NEED TO PLUCK MY EYEBROWS?

Yes! Microblading is the process of adding color in the skin to make the brow fuller. It has no relation to hair removal.

To maintain your stray hairs after microblading, you can pluck them at home or get them threaded.

DO I GET TO SEE THE DRAWING BEFORE THE MICROBLADING STARTS?

Of course. Both the artist and the client should go into the service feeling confident. More than half of the appointment is spent getting the perfect shape for each person. The drawing is custom to each face. No stencils are used. Alicia will check in with you many times throughout to make sure you are loving them!.

DO I NEED TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT?

Due to the volume of inquiries, a deposit is necessary to secure an appointment in Alicia's schedule. The 30% deposit is applied to the final balance. Cancellation within 48 hours of your appointment will result in a non-refundable deposit.

DOES IT HURT?

Alicia's microblading method involves a topical anesthetic during the process to help numb the area. It is important to know that everyone's pain threshold is different but the client's comfort is taken very seriously.

CAN I BRING SOMEONE WITH ME TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Someone is able to accompany you during your appointment. Generally they are asked to stay in the waiting room during the consultation process and invited in for the remainder of the appointment.

DO I NEED TO TAKE TIME OFF OF WORK?

Fortunately, there is little to no downtime involved with microblading. There should be no redness the next day, though the brows do darken slightly from days 2-5. Alicia's aftercare regimen prevents any scabbing and thus undetectable in public.

IS IT RIGHT FOR ME?

Microblading isn't right for everyone. Find out if it's right for you here!

WHAT DO I DO LEADING UP TO MY APPOINTMENT?

Thank you for being prepared! Check out how you should prepare here.

WHEN SHOULD I GET THEM TOUCHED UP?

The "right" time for a touch up varies per person. Pigment will fade gradually over time. Generally, 1 year touch ups are recommended though some people wait up to 2 years. Touch ups should not be done too frequently.

IS IT SAFE?

Safety comes first when dealing with microblading. Alicia follows universal precautions while working and uses only single-use supplies for each person. Licensing and certification can be found here
